I am acerbic. I can be cruel. It’s who I am, right to the bottom. I’m neither proud of this nor ashamed of it. It simply is. And in my work, my nature has been an advantage far more often than it has been a hindrance.
In response to an anonymous confession submitted to the University of New Mexico: ‘Why isn’t there a Caucasian or white club? There’s one for every race and ethnicity we have on campus. Even women have their own center. What about white guys? Just because we’re white doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have our own group or program. To me, this is racist, even sexist.’ (x)
